Supervision

Supervision. Training and Workforce Development

Supervision for the autism focused behavioral health interventionist is essential to clinical quality and client outcomes. The training needed requires partnership, consistency, and collaboration across universities, organizations, supervisor, and supervisee.

The problem with supervision is the cost to the supervisee and the inconsistency of experiences across individuals within autism behavioral health.

The initiatives of the Huddle include:

  • The creation of sustainable supervision models that move the cost burden from the supervisee to that of organizations focused on workforce development in behavioral health
  • Development of models of supervision that reduce cost as a barrier
  • Exploration of models of supervision for individuals moving from behavior technician to behavior analyst roles in education and healthcare pediatric sectors.
  • Development of supervision and mentorship models to support behavior analysts seeking specializations in addressing challenging behavior, social skills, Direct Instruction, and/or Precision Teaching.
